Dave and Diane founded Lowery’s Hot Glass in 1994. After many months of building equipment and aquiring the proper permits, they were finally able to fire up the furnaces and open their doors to the public in October of 1995. Together, through the years they have been designing and creating blown glass for many fine galleries, boutique hotels, restaurants and private homes across the United States.

Diane is an accomplished artist, painter, sculptor and interior designer prior to building Lowery’s Hot Glass with Dave.

With the completion of the studio Diane could not resist the challenge of working with glass. Diane has since developed a family of Sculpted Fish. Using her strong artistic and design skills, the ability to draw composite sketches and a well developed sense of coordinating colors and such, Diane enjoys working with Clients to design custom glass art work.

When not designing or sculpting glass, Diane enjoys composing music, playing piano and singing.

Dave began the art of blowing glass in college. After serving as an assistant to several prominent glass artists, he was brought on board at the prestigious Bill Kasper Studio in Escondido, California. While working with Kasper’s hand-picked team, Dave learned the skills needed to make large-scale blown glass. Since starting Lowery’s Hot Glass, Dave has perfected his skills, creating his own style for large scale glass projects.

When not working, he enjoys experimenting with different techniques with fellow glass artists as well as playing the drums.
